This is a grand water slide that is sure to impress all the kids who get to climb its stairs and slide down one of its twin slides.
This may be a water ride for the kids, but it sure looks tempting for the adults who see it. Rising over nine feet at its peak, this water wonder sports twin slides, complete with streaming water to complete the theme park-like experience. It is designed for kids ages five to ten.
The experience starts long before the child steps foot into the water slide. When fully inflated, the Little Tikes Rocky Mountain River Race water slide is a sight to behold, and is sure the get the excitement going in all but the most subdued of kids. No doubt, talk about this water slide being available during someone’s birthday party will sure make each RSVP come flying back with a resounding YES.
Kids begin their journey on this water slide by climbing the center wall to get to the top of the enormous water slide. Once there, they race down the two slides and into the splash pool at the foot of the ride. As they ascend the center wall, they are greeted with a constant stream of water to add to their fun. Should they slip while scaling the center wall, they will end up in the splash pool. Sometimes, failure in the wall climb provides an even better ride down into the pool!
Once at the top, the kids pick one of two slides from which to start, and when they let go of the grips, the fun begins. Riding down the slope, with water streaming down with them, they get the sensation of a slide but super enhanced by the water and pool effect. The splash below at the foot of the ride gives a decent splash when they hit it, and they’re able to frolick around in the wading pool before going back up the center wall for another ride down to the splash pool. Loads of fun, no doubt, and a huge hit during summer outdoor parties.
The Little Tikes Rocky Mountain River Race is a mini water park in its own right, and is ideal for those hot summer days. The Rocky Mountain River Race has an open design, enabling the parents to keep an eye on all of the action. There are no stairs to climb behind the water slide, as the main climbing wall is also located at the front of the ride. The twin slides sport spray hoods that keep the sliding surface slippery all the way down to the splash pool. The center climb wall even has a surprise pail that pours water on kids climbing up the center “rock” wall as they make their way to the top of the twin water slides.
The kids love the fact that the twin water slides allow them to race down the slides and land in the wide splash pool below. Indeed the splash pool is wide, and affords plenty of room for everyone to have fun in the water.
The Little Tikes Rocky Mountain River Race is anchored firmly in place by stakes. Given that this water ride is inflated, a heavy-duty blower provides continuous airflow. The whole system is built of puncture-resistant material.
It measures 178 by 182 by 112 inches and comes with stakes, a heavy-duty blower with GFCI, a repair kit and a storage bag.
Owners love the fun factor and the fact that when not in use, the system can be cleaned and stored away. Simply empty of water, clean, dry, deflate and fold it away into its storage bag until the next big water party. Parents noted that even two year olds are able to climb up and down the slide, though under the watchful eye of their parents.
Just about the only thing that left parents longing was the water slide’s inability to support more weight. Unfortunately, older kids or heavier kids will not be able to ride this thing safely. Parents have suggested, based on their experience, a maximum weight of one hundred pounds. And definitely, no adults!
